Windsor Legion Track & Field Club 2004 Results Summary
Club Receives Trillium Funding
In October, 2002, the club was awarded a $75,000.00 capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The purpose of this grant is to upgrade the Robert E. Carrick Memorial Athletic Complex in LaSalle to increase the number and calibre of the events held at this facility. The club will be purchasing new football goal posts, soccer nets, gender neutral steeple chase barriers, a utility vehicle, collapsible tents for athletes, wind gauges, athlete benches, doors to create hammer cage; replace the pole vault runway; upgrade the public address system; landscape area to increase shade and wind shield; upgrade the shot put landing area; and to erect new signage. The objectives of the grant is to expand the already existing athletic programs and to establish community recreation on a participatory basis.
